California Cruisin'
May 8, 2008: 7:00pm-10:00pm
Venue: ROM
Hang ten along the sun-drenched coast of one of the world’s most breath-taking visitor destinations. Inspired by the finest vintages of the Napa and Sonoma Valleys, California Cruisin’ opens your world to the sights, culture and unique flavours of America’s Golden State. Imagine yourself surrounded by ancient redwoods, riding the wave at Big Sir, exploring quaint Pacific towns or taking a long romantic stroll along the rich vineyards of California’s picturesque wine lands. This is a special night designed to deliver an unparalleled taste of California. Three of Toronto’s young celebrity chefs who revel in the flavours of California will be on hand. Chef Ben Heaton, Globe Bistro; Chef Gordon Mackie, Far Niente; and, Chef Michael Steh, Reds Bistro will create sun drenched appetizers that will complement the California grape perfectly. Several of the wines featured this evening will not be available at any other Santé: Toronto International Wine Festival event. Indeed, some of the reserves being poured this night by experienced California craftsmen may only be experienced at California wineries by special appointment. But you can make your appointment now and spend an evening California Cruisin’ without leaving Toronto!
